特殊奧林匹克世界運動會分夏季運動會及冬季運動會，是專門為智障人士所設計的國際體育競賽。特殊奧運會每兩年舉行一次，夏季及冬季交替舉行。
Special Olympics World Games are divided into summer games and winter games, which are specially designed for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics World Games take place every two years and alternate between Summer and Winter Games.
